EU RFID Livestock Traceability Management System Application Case

- May 02, 2018-

With the development of society and economy, people have higher requirements for quality of life, especially for the safety of animal foods. The new EU food law system also establishes food traceability rules. However, animal management in the farming and animal husbandry sector in a country in Europe still adopts traditional manual record management and control methods. It relies on paper media to record and manage information on animal feeding, transportation, processing and other aspects. It is inefficient and inconvenient to query and cannot meet the current traceability. Management needs urgently need to introduce more efficient and intelligent management systems.

EU RFID Livestock Traceability Management System Application Case

face the challenge

1. Using animal cards to manually record animal feeding information, which has low work efficiency and high error probability;

2. The use of paper to record animal information, difficult to save, query time-consuming;

3. Retrospective difficulties arise when there are food safety incidents.

EU RFID Livestock Traceability Management System Application Case

Become an ID using an RFID tag to create a unique ID for an animal, and enter the identity information of the species (such as: species, date of birth, feeding pattern, feed ratio, etc.). Daily data information (such as individual, feeding conditions, epidemic prevention information, transportation information, and slaughtering information) of this species is collected and uploaded to the database for analysis by the RFID mobile inspection handheld terminal equipment to form a complete traceability system.

Application effectiveness

1. Improved recording work efficiency and reduced error rate;

2. The handheld terminal device has a large data storage space, a long storage period, and can call historical data at any time;

3. Provide complete and accurate historical information traceability;

4. The safety of all food, animal feed and feed ingredients can be guaranteed through effective control of the entire process from farm to table;

5. Systematic recording and management of information on animal husbandry, transportation, processing and other aspects, convenient inquiry, and help to achieve the traceability of the product;

6. Promote the openness, transparency, greenness and safety of the entire growth and processing of agricultural and pastoral products.
