Supermarket handheld terminal function analysis

- Jul 12, 2018-

The number of products and the volume of passengers in the supermarket are very large, so various problems often arise in the management of supermarkets. Traditional manual management has been difficult to meet the development needs of supermarkets. The emergence of supermarket handheld terminals has improved the efficiency of supermarket warehousing, distribution, and inventory. The application of supermarket handheld terminals in the retail industry is mainly reflected in four aspects:

1, real-time query of commodity information

The traditional commodity information inquiry is mainly operated by employees, and the staff members take the goods or record the product information to the computer department for inquiry, which is inefficient. Now, workers only need to scan the product with the handheld terminal to check the price, inventory and other information of the product.

2, inventory real-time inventory

Traditional inventory requires a lot of manpower and material resources, and it takes a lot of time to manually copy and count. The appearance of the supermarket handheld terminal solves the problems of low inventory efficiency and high error rate. The inventory personnel only need to scan the shelf with the handheld terminal and input the inventory quantity. After the scanning is finished, the inventory is completed. The supermarket handheld terminal also supports the recap function, and the review of the inventory has also become easier.

3, the receiving area on-site scanning receipt

The traditional receiving operation is very complicated. After the delivery of the supplier, the receiving person must input the receiving order into the computer, and the goods need to be entered into the computer one by one, and the receiving efficiency is very low. Now, the receiving person only needs to scan the goods in the receiving area with the handheld terminal, and the receiving receipt can be generated in the computer to complete the receiving. Enter the order number into the original order number column on the inbound order to implement the inbound operation.

4, shelf on-site replenishment

In the traditional replenishment process, the on-site staff is required to copy the goods that need to be replenished according to the sales situation of the shelves and the shortage of goods, and hand them over to the computer department to make a replenishment order, and then replenish the goods. Due to the large number of links, the workload of replenishment is large, and errors are likely to occur during transcription. After using the supermarket handheld terminal, the on-site staff can make a replenishment order on the spot and directly scan the shelf to complete the replenishment order, which greatly saves the replenishment time and avoids the sales of the goods due to the shortage of goods.
